LESSON OBJECTIVE: EMBEDDING DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY INTO HARD MATERIALS (TECH WOOD Y 9 & 10)

  • To develop research presentation and annotation skills
  • To develop simple design and sketching skills (freehand sketches – 3d & 2d). 
  • To develop woodworking skills by including 2 simple joints when designing and making the toy (using prior knowledge and experience)
  • To develop simple SketchUp skills for woodworkers. Modelling (2d & 3d)
  • To develop the knowledge of how to create simple movement. Mechanisms like wheels, propellers, eccentrics, cams, etc.)
  • DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: To develop presentation skills using Google Drive tools (Google Slides)
