Cool yourself down on any summers day.

Perfect for a hot summers day.

The watermelon blueberry and pomegranate platter are the perfect treat on a hot summers day. It is also quick and easy to assemble. A great idea for a lunch or dinner party. It could also be a lovely, generous gesture when visiting a friend or family member.

Ingredients

Half a small watermelon sliced up in small chunks to fill up a medium to large platter

Handful of fresh blueberries (about 100 grams)

One pomegranate seeded (about 150 to 200 grams)

Freshly chopped mint leaves (a handful) for garnish

One to two sprigs of mint leaves for garnish

One large platter of your choice. The contrast of colours will enhance the presentation. For example, a cream or white coloured platter will juxtapose the bright colours of the fruit beautifully in your presentation.

Perfect for a hot summers day!

About pomegranates (health benefits)

See the huge health benefits of eating fresh pomegranates (see source/link).

1. For women: Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women. Pomegranate extract has been shown to inhibit reproduction of breast cancer cells, and may even kill some of them. However, this is currently limited to laboratory studies. More research is needed.

2. For men: Prostate cancer is the most common type of cancer in men. Laboratory studies have shown that pomegranate extract can slow down cancer cell reproduction, and even induce apoptosis (cell death) in cancer cells.

  1. With havin so much content and articles do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright infringement?
My website has a lot of exclusive content I’ve either authored myself
or outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping
it up all over the web without my agreement. Do you know any solutions to help stop content from being stolen?
I’d truly appreciate it. gozo tourists

    1. Hi Lovieblundell. You can’t control keeping the content of your work just on your website. The moment you publish it someone will steal it. Over the years I have learnt, just forget about it. There will always be people who will somehow get hold of your work. I sleep well at night knowing my work is somewhere available. I don’t care. Focus on your writing and your development as a writer. Also think about your website and who you will reach. PLAGIARISM: Believe it or not from 2016 I never had an issue – not one. I always, always acknowledge people and websites below a picture or image. If you do that you will not get into trouble. I use Pixabay and Canva (paid version) images. By the way readers don’t want to pay to read. Make your work free. For example publish your work on a blog. I do have eBooks for sale (I keep it very cheap). I also don’t care about the sales. The royalties one receive are so small, it is best just to forget about it. There are millions of stuff to read online for free. Who will pay to read my stuff? Almost nobody. Let people read for free. Focus on your writing. Develop your skills, and enjoy the writing. Cheers. William Van Zyl
