“I can breathe easier; I definitely can breathe easier.”
With his long black hair tied back, Dr. Cortez steps away from the dental chair. He admires his handiwork: two sleek, titanium wisdom teeth now nestled in my lower jaw. The dental tools on the tray beside him glint under the bright overhead light—polished mirrors, delicate probes, and the high-pitched whirr of the dental drill still echoing in my ears.
The new titanium teeth, slightly smaller than my original white enamel ones, immediately enhance the airflow at the back of my mouth. With my mouth closed, I perform a simple breathing test, feeling the difference almost instantly.
“Dr. Cortez, it makes such a huge difference. I’ll sleep so much better with these two beauties installed,” I exclaim, my excitement palpable.
“You’ve earned this,” Dr. Cortez replies with a confident smile. “You’ve been waiting a long time. This will be a game-changer for you. The advancements in aerodynamics and hydrodynamics are remarkable. This will truly transform your life.”

I am telling you about a dream I had during the night (March 2025). Yes, as you guessed, I had been to the dentist in my dream. But what does it all mean, you may ask?
Well, my wife and I have been studying dreams and their interpretation for decades. One of our go-to resources is dreambible.com. Why do wisdom teeth have smaller sizes? Why has the airflow been improved? When my wife heard the dream, she immediately said it was a very positive dream.

Wisdom Teeth
Dreaming of wisdom teeth represents an experience you can be confident about. A situation or experience that gives you confidence that you’ve “been there” or “done that.” Growing up or a milestone you’ve moved past.
It may also reflect “coming of age” evidence such as sexual development or sexual experience. Something that makes you feel mature or grown up.
Dreaming of your wisdom teeth falling out represents maturity or a loss of youthful ambition. It may also indicate feeling like it’s time to settle down, feeling that showing off or talking about adult achievements is no longer interesting or enjoyable, or a loss of importance you are giving to proving yourself.
Dreaming of your wisdom teeth being pulled out represents feelings that it’s important to hide your success or stop bragging about an adult achievement. It can also represent feeling that success has gotten out of hand, not believing that sex, money, or other adult abilities are as interesting as they used to be, or feeling that family life is more important to you now.
Example: A young girl dreamed of feeling like an outsider because her wisdom teeth hadn’t come in yet. In waking life, she had just started high school and was surrounded by people she felt were more socially experienced than her.

My wife’s take on the dream:
“God removes add-ons in our lives. To be more effective (aerodynamic and hydrodynamic), we must ‘lose stuff.’ He will send us through the valleys to remove the dross from the silver, Sometimes up to seven times. God wants us to be humble and not focus on ourselves all the time, but he wants us to love Him and care for others.
Sometimes, to develop spiritually, we must go through dark places, valleys, hardships, and more. To be free from those things that hinder us, we must have an attitude of change.
“Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.” AI-generated image. Credit Copilot.
Back to the Dream:
The dream indicates that I have reached or passed a significant milestone. My ‘wisdom teeth’ were removed and replaced with titanium ones—smaller ones. It reveals that time has passed, and during that time, a pair of strong-tested teeth were prepared for me. It took time for the teeth to be ready. It cost me something to get those teeth. It was an expensive dental procedure. It was quite a journey to remove the original teeth—painful indeed. The teeth I waited for were shaped and moulded by the ‘Dentist’ and his Technicians.’ I prefer the ‘new titanium teeth.’
As my wife made these comments, I realised, looking back at what I have been through, that a lot of dead wood had been surgically removed from me. The focus is away from me now. As a young man, I wanted to impress by driving an impressive car, having a vast, beautiful modern house, wearing expensive clothes and more. You get the picture. It was all about me. Shaped by the deceitfulness of riches and influenced by some self-help books, the values and beliefs I chose created a specific paradigm for me. However, through decades of journeying, God pruned my tree (my life). Looking back, I see the ‘young tree’ morphed into an ‘aerodynamic and hydrodynamic tree.’ Having more than enough. Now, two beautiful wisdom teeth decorate my jaw.
Many years ago, my brother Deon gave me a scripture that was significant to him at that time—and still is. It says to take your gold (your grand ideas) and the gold of Ophir (the riches of this world) and lay them in the dust. Make God your “Gold of Ophir,” and then He will prosper you.
I applied this amazing scripture in my life. Now, I have “two titanium wisdom teeth,” and I breathe easy. I can run like crazy and breathe like an athletic greyhound. I share this scripture with you:
21. Reconcile now and be at peace with Him;
thereby good will come to you.
22. Receive instruction from His mouth,
and lay up His words in your heart.
23. If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored.
If you remove injustice from your tents
24. and consign your gold to the dust
and the gold of Ophir to the stones of the ravines,
25. then the Almighty will be your gold
and the finest silver for you.
26. Surely then you will delight in the Almighty
27. You will pray to Him, and He will hear you,
and you will fulfill your vows.
28. Your decisions will be carried out,
and light will shine on your ways.
29. When men are brought low and you say, ‘Lift them up!’
then He will save the lowly.
30. He will deliver even one who is not innocent,
rescuing him through the cleanness of your hands.”
Job 22: Verse 21 to 30. Berean Bible.
What a privilege it is to be shaped by God’s Word, His Holy Spirit, adverse situations, and experiences. The treasures in ‘dark places’ are the crucibles where change occurs. The air that flows from my vocal cords, over and around the “new teeth”, produces shaper and clearer words of wisdom; it includes undertones of actual stories and experiences.
Have your wisdom teeth been shaped by “The Dentist”?
I include a great scripture on treasures in the darkness:
In Isaiah 45:3, God promises Cyrus, the Persian king, “I will give you the treasures of darkness and the riches of hidden places, that you may know that I am the Lord, who calls you by name”.
This verse speaks of God’s power to intervene and reveal himself through unexpected events and resources.
A reference to the PROCESSES, which shapes us:
James 1:2-4 (NIV): “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
This passage highlights how enduring trials and leaning on God through those challenges shape us, making us more mature and effective in His Kingdom. It reminds us that these experiences are part of God’s process to mould us into better servants for His purpose.

Dear reader,
What do your ‘wisdom teeth’ look like? Have your ‘old wisdom teeth’ been removed and replaced with ‘aerodynamic and hydrodynamic’ ones? Have you allowed God to shake the dead wood out of your life?
How’s your breathing?
I can testify that God speaks through dreams. If we ask Him, He will reveal their meaning to us. I received a dream that marked a significant milestone for me. I trust that you will receive a wonderful dream that encourages you. Allow God to transform you. Allow Him to ‘surgically’ remove and replace that which hinders your ‘breathing.’
