THE CHARACTERS

The characters in this book are based on animals and insects congregating for an annual Paralympic Games event in Tanzania (Africa). A dragon family associated with the Olympic games are living in the area of Mount Kilimanjaro on the continent of Africa. The characters of the athletes and others are summarised to provide more depth and insight into the story. The story of Sauri’i the Dribbling Dragon is to follow (mid 2019).

EDUCATIONAL FOCUS:

This purpose of this book is to provide readers with an insight into the overcoming of adversity of the different ‘Paralympic athletes.’ It also includes details about the animal and insect orthopaedic surgeons that supported the athletes to overcome their losses. More details on the characters are provided to enhance the reader’s experience. The mottos, advice, and favourite scripture verses by the athletes provide insight into the processes involved which highlights their victory over adversity. Christian values are intricately weaved into the characters and events. The authors trust that the accentuation of these values, namely bravery, courage, faith, tenacity, resilience, and love will provide rich reflection for the reader of these books.

ABOUT  THE STORY: SAURI’I THE DRIBBLING DRAGON: CHARACTERS

A young toddler dragon – living at Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania (Africa) – starts to dribble after an unexpected incident. Athlete animals and insects from around the world gather for the Small Animal and Insect ‘Olympic Games’ at a small pond in the area. There are heroes from around the world, all competing in athletics and other sporting events.

In the dark, dark African night a monster is lurking, ready to pounce at any moment. The sound of the crowd cheering the athletes on can be heard for several meters. Danger looms. Pure bravery, guts and heroic actions save the day…

The following pages are a summary of some of the characters in the future children’s book. Storybook to be published by the end of 2018.
