‘The enemies’ sails hang loose on broken masts with useless tackle…’
This is probably the shortest article I have written to date – a two-pager with a sketch and some photos.
Have you ever been shaken to your core; knocked out on your feet with one devastating punch? Blind-sided. A storm from nowhere ravaged you; so intense that you were overwhelmed.
An unexpected storm in your life can be your friend. It can also be excruciating. Painful, and at the same time, reveal so much truth about yourself. And, after the storm subsides, the process, the actions of others, and one’s response become crystal clear—providing a map to reflect on. If you have been through hell – so to speak – you will understand the process – in hindsight. However, you could be in one right now. Or you are going to face one. It could be a health scare, a severed relationship, the death of a loved one, a false accusation, a work situation out of control, a spouse taking revenge, a financial blow, a collapsing business, back-stabbing, the Covid-19-impact, the sudden loss of income, unexpected fraud, a devastating robbery, victim to a significant scam, a child involved with drugs, a messy divorce, or something else.
The following scripture is a solid anchor during such a turbulent season:
[5] Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. PROVERBS 3: 5 & 6 NKJV
